If we analyze our essence, the Shimjeong, we find that it is expressed as intelligence, emotion, and will. Which of these qualities is fundamental? Fundamental is emotion – not intellect, not will.

The Heavenly Parent is the subject of the human soul. Therefore, He is the subject of his intellect, emotions, and will. He endowed him with the ability to experience all kinds of feelings and emotions because He wanted to share the deepest joy with him.

Emotions cannot act on their own; they require an object. No matter how noble a man or woman is, they cannot create a relationship without a partner. No matter how harmonious a couple is, if they don’t have children, they feel empty and bored.

Relationships between people are built based on emotional ties. Family relationships, moral foundations, social arrangements, hierarchical order, and the like are all based on the emotional factors of human life. This is why people bow their heads respectfully to those with whom they have a long and profound relationship, or to those with whom they respect.

Emotional nurturing, which only parents can give, helps children develop a depth and breadth of heart. Human relationships begin with parental love for children and become full and complete when children return the love. A child’s character is built on this key foundation.

If we want to live a more fulfilling life than others, our emotional experience must be richer than theirs.
